Turquoise Mountain is launching two new collections of handwoven Afghan carpets at Victor Gallery in New York, at an exclusive 2,000 sq ft pop-up to be held from September 13-15, 2025.

In addition to new Mamluk-inspired and Khotan collections, the show will also feature more than 100 carpets from Turquoise Mountain’s established collections, incorporating traditional, transitional and contemporary designs in wool, silk, and wool-silk blends. All the carpets are hand-knotted by weavers that the organisation supports in Afghanistan.

The show will also feature pieces from the Weaving Poems series created by Afghan designer Maryam Omar, following a dedicated exhibition at Sotheby’s in London. Maryam’s designs are inspired by poems associated with traditional weaving practices and the natural and cultural landscapes of the Bamiyan valley in central Afghanistan. Maryam will be part of the Turquoise Mountain team at the event.

In addition to these collections, Turquoise Mountain offers bespoke commissions and design collaborations, with expert teams in the U.S. and Afghanistan supporting clients through every stage of the design and production process. All Turquoise Mountain carpets are independently audited by our fair-trade partner, Label STEP.

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — September 2, 2025 – Leading floor covering and home accents manufacturer Nourison Home is opening a new destination showroom at 260 Fifth Avenue in New York. The showroom will display a selection of their key products including area rugs, accent rugs, carpets and home accessories. The previous showroom at 230 Fifth Avenue has been closed.

The new location is a few blocks north of their previous showroom and is in the heart of Manhattan’s Flatiron district. The showroom encompasses the entire fourth floor of the building, has taller ceilings and is larger than their previous space. This allows Nourison Home to display both larger rugs in 8’x10’ racks and smaller products in custom hanging displays throughout the showroom.

The showroom will also include new custom designed shops for their licensed brands, Calvin Klein and DNKY. These shops will display best-selling products from these well-known brands that are made by Nourison Home.
