DALLAS – September 10, 2026 — Dallas Market Center has announced that John Robshaw Textiles has joined its Textile Salon (IHDC 2F215-TS4), bringing its hand-blocked, globally inspired textiles to DMC in time for Dallas Design Week, September 15–17. Designers attending Design Week will get a first look at Robshaw's prints, bedding, and home decor in person.
“John’s extraordinary use of color, pattern, and global influences has made his work so distinctive and beloved within the design community,” says Ileana Saldivia, director of interior design at Dallas Market Center. “Having him here offers designers a wonderful opportunity to experience his creative perspective firsthand, discover his latest textiles, and connect with the story and craftsmanship behind the collection. The Textile Salon was created to bring designers closer to exceptional textile resources and the people behind them, and John’s visit embodies exactly that spirit.”
Additionally, John Robshaw Textiles was recently announced as a finalist in the Home Textiles category for the 37th annual ARTS Awards, the home furnishings industry's premier awards program presented by Dallas Market Center and ART. Winners will be named at the January 8, 2027, gala at the Hilton Anatole, held during Total Home & Gift Market (January 6-12) and Lightovation (January 5-9).
ABOUT TEXTILE SALON
Textile Salon is Dallas Market Center's dedicated showcase for fine fabrics, trim, wallpaper, window and floor coverings, and decorative hardware. Located on the second floor of the Interior Home + Design Center, the 7,000-square-foot shared showroom is open daily to the trade and built for designers. Alongside its lineup of leading brands including Kravet, English Village Lane, H&M Designs, Hue & Dot by Mirth Studio, Post House, and Your Pillowman, Textile Salon has become a gathering point for the design community, hosting talks, trend reports, and events throughout the year.
ABOUT JOHN ROBSHAW
John Robshaw grew up in Buffalo, New York, and earned a fine arts degree from Pratt Institute before traveling across Asia to study printing traditions firsthand. In China and India, he learned block printing and natural indigo dye techniques directly from artisans who had practiced them for generations. That education became the foundation of his work.
"My philosophy both in art and in life was to try everything, plunge into my work with tons of energy and openness to whatever might happen, and let my aesthetic unfold along the way using any material, in any space, with anyone," Robshaw says.
Every John Robshaw Textiles piece carries that hands-on approach. Quilts are hand-stitched by master artisans, blocks are carved and printed by hand, pillows and tapestries are hand-painted, and sheets are hand-stitched — nothing is automated.
"To me, how a thing is made is as important as what it finally becomes," Robshaw says.
