Leading floor covering and home accents manufacturer Nourison was featured in The Love Letter Transcend space at NY NOW from August 10-14 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

The Love Letter Transcend space, curated and designed by Beth Diana Smith and Kiyonda Powell on behalf of the Black Artists + Designers Guild, won the IFDA award for Innovative Booth Design.

"What excites me most about this space, affectionately called The Love Letter, is the inspiration behind it. It’s a celebration of Black creativity and all that it entails. There’s this point where colors, textures, and unspoken words meet where a designer “feels” the space and everything becomes inspired by another. Once we knew how we wanted the space to feel and what shapes and colors would be involved, I gravitated towards Nourison’s Radiant collection for its vibrancy, energy, and playful style. And I truly loved the Fantasia rug in green for the “outdoor” area because it grounded the space and made it feel more organic.” – Beth Diana Smith

"The Love Letter Transcend space is dedicated to and inspired by black creatives and our contributions to the world of design. We wanted to create a space that is visually romantic, rich in the African Diaspora culture and highlights black makers from around the globe. The design honors the past and looks forward to the future. Warm colors of the earth provide the foundation for the color palette layered with sculptural elements and a playful mix of styles and finishes to create warmth and love. We are happy to feature several rugs from Nourison that bring layers of rich texture, bold color and pattern to enhance our space!” - Kiyonda Powell

The three Nourison rugs featured with texture and saturated hues included Radiant RAD04Multicolor with a vintage vibe, hand woven shag Fantasia FAN01 Green (shown above) and CALVIN KLEIN Luster Wash SW01 Russet with a watercolor-like design.
