Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric announces the appointment of Roya Gholizadeh as Director of Production and Business Development – Carpet Division. In this new role, she will oversee the company’s entire carpet and rug division, including relationships with designers, clients, manufacturers and company reps, as the division continues to grow.

Gholizadeh brings over two decades of international interior design and product development experience to her new role, including high-end residential design as well as corporate, hospitality, product and furniture design.

“I am truly thrilled about joining Jamie Stern Design and particularly the carpet division,” Gholizadeh said. “I have a solid understanding of rug weaving techniques, styles and materials. Influenced by my upbringing and Persian heritage, I myself learned the art of crafting artisanal rugs and developed a profound appreciation for these exquisite handcrafts."

Prior to joining Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric, she worked as a Senior Interior Designer at SBA Workplace Studio, specializing in workplace and healthcare design. Previously, she worked as an Industrial Designer at Donghia Inc, where she helped design and develop furniture and case goods collections; served as lead designer for all company showrooms in the US and overseas; and participated in notable interior design projects including the restoration of Gritty Palace in Italy and the Angelo Donghia exhibition in New York. Gholizadeh also worked at Bryon Patton and Associates, an award-winning Toronto-based design firm concentrating in luxury residential and corporate projects, as well as Teknion Inc.

Gholizadeh holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from the University of Tehran, enhanced by continuous education in the areas of Interior Design and 3D modeling. She has also obtained LEED AP Certification with a concentration on commercial interiors. Gholizadeh currently serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Interior Design in NY, a role she will continue as she assumes her new role with Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric.
