There's a piece of software running your showroom right now, and if you're like most rug retailers I talk to, you have a complicated relationship with it. It technically works. It's held together by habit, workarounds, and one person on your team who knows where everything is. And every time you consider replacing it, the same thought wins: switching sounds riskier than staying.

Registration is open for COVER Connect New York 2026, the leading trade show dedicated to high-end rugs and carpets. Hosted by COVER magazine, the show returns to Manhattan’s Metropolitan Pavilion and The Altman Building from September 26–28, bringing together forty-four rug brands with manufacturers, designers and buyers from across the rug and interiors industries.

American made custom rug and carpet collection brings organic movement, refined dimensionality and exceptional design flexibility to hospitality, residential, private aviation and commercial interiors.

CALHOUN, GA — Delos, an American Maker of custom carpets and rugs, announces the launch of Verge Design Series, a design series of 15 sophisticated tonal designs inspired by the spaces between; land and air, dusk and dawn, forest and field through subtle, dimensional textures designed to complement architecture without competing with it.

BOSTON, Mass. — June 22, 2026 — Service Buddy, the AI-native CRM and point-of-sale platform built exclusively for flooring, carpet, and rug retailers, today announced a new release that gives retailers full control of their inventory, powered by AI — starting with the ability to load and update an entire inventory in minutes instead of hours.

Any retailer who has imported an inventory file knows the problem. Rug sizes are written one way in some rows and another in the next. The "in stock" column mixes Yes, No, Y, N, and True/False. Half the file fails validation, and what should take minutes turns into an hour in Excel.

Service Buddy's new AI upload reads the file, normalizes the inconsistencies automatically, and sorts every line into three views — new items, updates to existing items, and anything that needs a second look. Flagged rows are fixed in a single click inside Service Buddy, with no reopening spreadsheets and no re-uploading. It even pulls in product photos automatically.

"The new AI inventory feature has saved us five-plus hours a week," said Zach of Dover Rug & Home. "Putting in new rugs, updating pricing, pulling in photos automatically — it's a game changer."

The impact is similar for retailers moving off manual systems. "This eliminated our spreadsheet, which was really manual," said Stephen of David Adler Rugs. "We're so much faster now when it comes to managing our rug inventory."

"Most flooring software is a digital filing cabinet — it stores your data and waits," said Tom Strachan, Founder and CEO of Service Buddy. "We're building a platform that does the work for you. AI-powered inventory is the most visible example in this release, but it's the direction the entire product is heading."

The release also includes several upgrades requested by Service Buddy's retailer base:

  • Stock adjustments with audit trails. When a roll arrives damaged, goes back to the mill, or a physical count doesn't match the system, retailers can now adjust quantities up or down directly on any inventory item, each change logged with a reason and a complete history.
  • Service Sales Report. Installation, binding, cleaning, padding, delivery — service revenue is real money most retailers don't track the way they track product. The new report captures it all over any date range and, paired with the existing Product Sales Report, gives a full revenue picture in two clicks.
  • Global search across everything. A single search bar spans customers, quotes, jobs, invoices, and purchase orders, on both web and the admin mobile app — usable from the warehouse, the showroom, or a customer's living room.

About Service Buddy Service Buddy is the AI-native CRM and point-of-sale platform built exclusively for flooring, carpet, and rug retailers. The platform covers quoting, digital proposals, invoicing, payment processing, inventory, scheduling, and customer management — with Service Buddy AI working across the system to run the business, not just record it. TROY, N.C. – Capel Rugs is debuting three dynamic Moroccan-inspired rug collections at the July 26-30 Las Vegas Market in Space A-133 of the World Market Center.

All three new Moroccan collections – Bazaar, Casablanca and Sahara – explore different themes, drawing on the spirit of this culturally rich North African crossroads. Key features of the handmade collections include bold colors, intricate geometric patterns and rich textures. The collections drew kudos from retailers and designers for their fresh looks and strong values during spring markets.

“Everyone loved the innovative colors of Bazaar and Casablanca,” said Cameron Capel, President of Sales and Marketing for Capel Rugs. “And Sahara won favor for its fabulous luxurious hand.”

In keeping with the Moroccan theme, the special ‘Rugsy” giveaway with purchase this season is a Camel! This special stuffed animal is to reward customers who place orders at market. “It's adorable,” Capel said.

Bazaar is a vibrant hand knotted collection. Its 100% wool design, made in India, celebrates the color and craft of contemporary Moroccan fabrics. The multi-hued color stories flow across each surface in rugged geometric motifs and painterly lines that evoke the artistic character of handcrafted Moroccan textiles.

Bazaar comes in five exciting patterns – prism, sunset, saffron, mosaic and spice multi – with a wide variety of colors featured on each rug. Three sizes are available – 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6” and 9’ x 12’. A 5’ x 8’ rug may retail for under $1,699.

“Every rug in the Bazaar collection feels like a curated artwork – bold, layered and full of movement,” said Capel.

Putting a new spin on Moroccan-inspired hand-knotted design is Casablanca. Bright, airy and effortlessly stylish, Casablanca features 100% New Zealand felted wool that is hand-loomed in India. Suitable for traditional or contemporary interiors, Casablanca combines light backgrounds with soft greens and calming blues, accented by rugged geometric lines.

“Casablanca delivers a warm, inviting and distinctly contemporary look, with the imperfect, hand-drawn lines adding texture and character,” Capel said.

Casablanca’s four designs include sage multi, indigo multi, desert and ivory multi. It's offered in three sizes of 5’ x 8’, 7’9” x 9’9” and 9’ x 12’. A 5’ x 8’ rug may retail for under $1,199.

Rounding out the new North African-inspired rugs is Sahara, a modern homage to Moroccan minimalism. Available in six patterns and colorways, each rug in the Sahara collection features a clean, contemporary geometric linework set against light, neutral backdrops evocative of desert landscapes.

Hand-loomed in India with premium New Zealand wool, Sahara features a thick, dense pile. The design options include stone, ash, sand, salt, chalk and reed. The three sizes available are 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6” and 9’ x 12’. A 5’ x 8’ rug retails for under $1,099.

Another new hand knotted collection being shown in Las Vegas for the first time is Tessara, meticulously made in India using 100% wool. Woven in a refined quality, each piece showcases the intricate detail and durability that define heirloom rugs. Traditional motifs are thoughtfully reimagined in a worldly palette of updated hues and modern neutrals, offering a fresh take on classic design.

Tessara comes in seven colorways including: frosted mist, silver haze, stonewash, sapphire multi, seraph blue, greige tan and walnut. Four sizes are offered – 5’6” x 8’6”, 7’6” x 9’6”, 8’6” x 11’6” and 9’6” x 13’6”. A 5’6” x 8’6” rug may retail for under $3,399.

“Tessara is a premium hand knotted collection, and all designs and colorways were liked by retailers shopping our showroom in the spring,” Capel said.

Along with its new imported handmade designs, Capel Rugs also is expanding its assortment of made in the U.S.A. braids with five new rug collections in a wide range of colors and constructions. In addition, it will showcase new braided storage baskets, trays and hampers at market that coordinate with the new rug collections.

“These unique storage items were a big hit in April,” Capel said.

Beach Barn Tweed, in four colors – lake, seaweed, driftwood and baby blue – is a durable 100% polypropylene design inspired by casual seaside living. Shoreline, also in 100% polypropylene, features nine colors – sand dollar, seafoam, avocado, black, harbour, spa, ocean blue, navy and khaki.

Chatham is a lockstitch construction in a 65% polyester/35% wool blend. Seven colors are offered – palm, teal, light gray, slate, federal blue, navy and natural. Litchfield, an additional new lockstitch construction, features three colors – alabaster, cobblestone and ecru.

Rounding out the new offering of braids is Westerly, part of the Capel Braid program of 100% wool designs. Westerly features natural, dark, grey, light grey and light beige colorways.

For a 5’ x 8’ oval shaped rug, Beach Barn Tweed and Shoreline may retail for under $549, Chatham for $749, Litchfield for $799, and Westerly for $999.

All five made in the U.S.A. collections are available in a wide range of oval, round and cross sewn rectangle shapes.
